Why annual maintenance?
An air conditioning system may seem maintenance-free, but it slowly loses refrigerant during use. A leak that goes unnoticed can cause a lot of damage.
- Compressor: with too little refrigerant, the compressor is not lubricated properly and can overheat. A repair can easily cost several hundred euros.
- Filter drier: this part removes moisture and dirt from the system and wears fastest, much like an engine oil filter.
- Environment: R134a is far more harmful to the environment than the newer R1234yf, but neither belongs in the air. We use low-emission Waeco service units, so as little refrigerant as possible escapes during servicing.
Have your air conditioning checked at least once a year. The best time is early spring, before the warm weather arrives.
